We may be biased but London Fashion Week is our favourite of all the fashion weeks. Home to our favourite home grown talents such as Burberry and Vivienne Westwood the London shows forecast what will be hot in the up and coming fashion seasons. This year LFW bought us bohemian vibes, retro influences and statement fur. Here’s a round-up of our favourite collections.
Matthew Williamson
Retro vibes and gorgeous fur added a rocky yet glamorous edge to Matthew Williamson’s incredible show. Note the tasselled suede ankle boot which also made an appearance at the Burberry show, bound to be a style favourite this A/W.
Burberry Prorsum
As is the case most years, our favourite show has to be Burberry Prorsum AW15. Heavily influenced by the bohemian trend, the Burberry show combined Moroccan style prints with a Seventies rock ‘n’ roll aesthetic that came from the John Lennon glasses and vintage fur.
Topshop Unique
It’s always interesting to see what Topshop bring to their LFW show. High street favourites, their ready to wear collection was varied and also bought retro vibes to the table.
Roksanda
The Roksanda show hit us with colour pop designs, luxury fur and again Seventies hippy vibes. We’re beginning to see a pattern emerging. Looks like Seventies hippy and rock ‘n’ roll vibes will be a key trend next Autumn/ Winter.
Mary Katrantzou
A slight departure from her usual floral feminine designs, Katrantzou’s show bought us futurist designs and three-dimensional texturing.
Peter Pilotto
Like Mary Katrantzou, Peter Pilotto departed from his famed style and opted for geometric and futuristic styling.
